The Paris Declaration

The Paris Declaration, endorsed on 2 March 2005, is an international agreement to which over one hundred Ministers, Heads of Agencies and other Senior Officials adhered and committed their countries and organisations to continue to increase efforts in harmonisation, alignment and managing aid for results with a set of monitorable actions and indicators.

Contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Paris Declaration

The PCDC contributes to the OECD/DAC Joint Venture for Procurement in meeting its mandate to fulfill the Paris Declaration commitments to strengthen national procurement systems, support capacity development, and use local country systems.  The PCDC contributes to this Joint Venture by providing support in measuring Paris Declaration Indicator 2b; contributing to workshops on procurement capacity development and performance management; and driving improvements within the UN system towards achievement of Paris Declaration target indicators.
