e-Government Procurement
Introducing electronic procurement and automating the procurement process or parts of it has great potential in terms of accountability, transparency and cost savings. E-procurement is a very broad term and can cover all stages in the procurement process: sourcing by posting EoI on a website; online supplier database/roster; receiving bids and proposal online; reverse auctioning online; ordering and payment cycle; and document management. However, before introducing e-procurement one has to carefully access the readiness of both the procuring organisation and the private sector and it is often advantageous to introduce e-procurement in phases.
On this page you will find a range of resources specifically relating to e-Government Procurement. It is possible to search by region and/or country by making a selection below.
