OECD-DAC - The Task
Force on Procurement is an international forum for procurement
specialists representing multilateral institutions, bilateral
development agencies and developing countries engaged in
procurement reform. PCDC actively contributes to work of the Task
Force and is a member of the Working Group.
Our Operational Partners
At PCDC we have developed a network of consulting companies,
individual consultants as well as academic and research
institutions who we work with from time to time, or can recommend
to our other partners where appropriate.
Our National Partners
Our most important partners when it comes to brokering knowledge.
We have a wide network of public procurement experts throughout the
developing world, ranging from those who have responsibility for
procuring on a day to day basis to those who are leading major
reform programmes. These partners contribute to our work by
generously sharing their experiences, stories and lessons with us,
so that we can share them more widely.
Our UN Family
In PCDC we are proud to be a member of the United Nations family.
PCDC is a part of the Capacity Development Group (CDG) which
was established in 2002 under the Bureau for Development
Policy (BDP) of UNDP.
CDG has a team of Policy Advisers, Policy Specialists
and Research Analysts located in New York which provides support by
collating, organizing and sharing knowledge on capacity
development. This support is invaluable for us in PCDC and allows
us to apply this knowledge to the specific area of
Procurement.
CDG also has dedicated Regional Teams under Capacity Development
Team Leaders. CD Teams are located in five Regional Service
Centres, in Bangkok, Cairo, Bratislava, Dakar, Johannesburg and
Panama City and PCDC works closely with our Regional
colleagues.
Last, but not least, UNDP is on the ground with
offices in 166 countries around the globe. PCDC's country level
support is always delivered in collaboration with our country
office colleagues.
