The Asian Development Bank, has recently established an Asia Pacific Procurement Forum. The objective of the forum is to bring together procurement policy officials, regulators and others in the region, to share experiences, identify common issues, and seek coordinated solutions. In brief, the forum intends to help:
- raise the level of awareness of policy makers and others about the quality of country procurement systems;
- disseminate information about country experiences and lessons learned from national efforts to upgrade the quality of local procurement policy and regulation;
- assist in country procurement capacity building and monitoring efforts.
