Seminar on APEC-wide Government Procurement Market Accessibility

On 14-15 July 2009, the Public Procurement Service of Korea hosted the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Seminar on APEC-wide Government Procurement Market Accessibility. Held as a capacity building project sponsored by APEC, the Seminar collected and disseminated practical and business-relevant tips and information on the overall government procurement framework of member economies, such as the administrative structure and responsible authorities, legal and regulatory bases, and procedures and recommendations regarding the participation of foreign suppliers in government procurement.

 

Delegates from Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, US, and Vietnam, as well as three guest speakers from UN Procurement Division, University of Twente, and Korea Procurement Institute contributed to the Seminar.
