Date: 2009-02-26

Europe and the CIS

Maastricht, 30 March - 01 April 2009: The latest EU Public Procurement Directives introduced a new award procedure, known as Competitive Dialogue, in order to aid the implementation of particularly complex contracts, which PPP often are. This practitioners' workshop is an opportunity to learn how to use the new Competitive Dialogue procedure in practice to implement PPP.

The objective of the workshop is to provide practical experience in the process of financing, planning, procuring and managing a PPP. The workshop will be led by experienced practitioners and should be of particular interest to those involved in implementing PPP, policy makers, public officials, academics and the private sector in EU Member States, candidate countries and beyond. It should also be of interest to officials in European institutions.
