Launch of Procurement Lawyers' Association

Date: 2009-03-30

Global

A Procurement Lawyers' Association has been launched in order to bring together all procurement lawyers, including those in practice and academics, in the UK and elsewhere.

The association is intended to act as a platform to represent, promote and strengthen procurement law expertise and has as its 3 objectives, the provision of:

1. an external collective voice, e.g. in order to respond to consultation exercises;

2. a forum for in-depth discussion and debate about key procurement law issues; and

3. training and know-how.

The association is still in its infancy, but has so far been a great success with around 200 members across the procurement community.
