UNDP Procurement Training & Certification Course Calendar & Catalogue 2010
Date: 2009-12-02
Global
UNDP has just launched its Procurement Training &
Certification Course Calendar & Catalogue for 2010.
Next year's programme will for the first time include training
courses that have been recognised and accredited by the Chartered
Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) in the UK.
Classroom courses will be held on a regular basis in New
York, Panama, Dubai, Nairobi, Bangkok, Vienna, Rome and Copenhagen.
Courses are open to staff in the UN system, NGOs,
Inter-Governmental Organizations, Development Banks and their
Borrowers, and Partner Government staff.
The new course "Introductory Certificate in Public Procurement -
Level 2" will be offered in English and Spanish, but a French
version is also in the pipeline for French-speaking participants.
In practical terms, CIPS accreditation means that participants
passing the exams for this course can apply for accelerated entry
with CIPS at the corresponding level. During 2010 and 2011, more
accredited CIPS courses will be added to the course portfolio,
allowing staff to build on the skills and capabilities acquired in
the first course.
In addition to the regularly scheduled courses, all training
courses can be delivered as tailor-made courses at any preferred
location and time, on cost-recovery basis. This is highly
recommended and normally the most cost-efficient way to educate a
group of staff and counterparts, and potentially to collaborate on
training across agencies.

registration is available here.
